I love to drink. The buzz is great. I smoked weed at a younger age but got off it when I got paranoid on it. The legal alcohol took its' place. I think it is because you like the buzz and it helps you deal with the reality of life. People use all kinds of things to deal with reality - pep pills,Oxycontin, sleeping pills or even religion.
Bud Lite is beer flavored water, drink a real beer like Colt 45.

I can tell you why I like to drink and you see if there are any similarities: My entire youth I always felt weird, different, out of place. I was shy, chubby and a total freak in the middle of white-bread Oklahoma! But brotha--I remember that first drink and I'll tell you what-that was the first time I felt normal! You know how most people feel weird when they are drunk and fine when they are sober? Me? Opposite-- so out of place sober but when I was drunk I felt SOOOOOO comfortable. I could out drink anyone and when I was TRASHED I would say "I am so drunk!" and people would always say "You're drunk?" I could pass field sobriety tests and have police officers send me on my way when I had been drinking since noon. It was fantastic!
The problem was I wanted to STAY that way because sober I felt so out of place and shy. So I started drinking more than just Friday and Saturday nights--you dig? Pretty soon all my 20 something drinking buddies were 30 something adults and I was still drinking and going from one sh***y job to the next (usually restaraunt related so I could sleep late--make a bunch of cash then party all night and most of my co-workers where the same way so i didn't have to face the fact I was quite quickly becoming a LOOO-SUURRR!!)
Needless to say I ended up in rehab without a thing to my name. (If you aren't there yet--just wait--alcohol is a b***h bride and she will eventually want EVERYTHING!)
So, not to tell you what to do but to share what I did was spent $30,000 of my folks money on rehab to find out AA was free. It wasn't a dark smokey room with old men sitting around talking about how they wish they were drunk still like I though it would be. It was young people (and younger) like me who also were never comfortable in their own skin. I hated that I was sitting there looking at the freakin' 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (How freakin' STUPID and WEAK these people are!) Till a buddy pointed out there isn't ONE thing in the 12 steps that says don't drink or do drugs. NOT ONE! You'd think that would be the first one huh? 1) Don't drink. Nope. Not a word. I found out Alcohol was the last symptom of alcoholism like coughing is one of the last symptoms of lung cancer but it had been growing along time before I ever drank. The 12 steps just showed me how I could be comfortable in my own skin, how I could be in a room full of people and not feel ALONE and to just accept life on lifes terms. Its been three years March 12th (even I can't believe that s**t!)and from a friendless, jobless crunked up drunk I now have an amazing job, tons of friends I just got married and we have just moved into our own place.
That's just FYI. You can do with that whatever you want but just always know you can't swing a dead hooker and not find an AA meeting. And I think just asking the question shows you have a tiny idea that something may be goin' on. Just know even if you aren't as far gone as I got like the old saying goes--"You don't have to ride the garbage truck all the way to the dump. You can get off anytime you want." And trust me brotha-the truck is going to the dump.

Benjamin Franklin once said "Beer is proof God loves us."

Beer is tasty. I wouldn't stress it. If it gets bad I'm sure your family or buddies would say something.
