It's an RCA one (It's NOT a DVD/VCR, just a DVD player) and I've had it for...at least 3-5 years. Just on Friday it started acting wierd. It will turn on and off at odd times during the day and night for no reason, and will sometimes try and read a nonexistant disk or will spit the tray out at me. This only started up on Friday.
I believe it's possesed.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone know what's wrong?
Please help, I need to sleep again. It keeps me up when it does that, as it's not exactly quiet.

get a can of compressed air and take a few minutes to blow all the dust out of the machine. You probably have a build up of dust inside from the air ventilation of the machine? That could be causing it. Also if anyone spilled liquid on it?? If you can't find anything like that then you might be replacing the unit. I would even recommend taking the cover off and just look for anything that may be crossing some circuits inside the machine.
