I'm in Hong Kong and 've been studying English since kindergarten. My English is said to be quite good in Hong Kong but I know, in many English-speaking countries, that would not be the case. I really wish to learn good English and speak fluently as my third language (first: Cantonese, second: Mandarin).
I am trying hard to find ways to achieve so such as
- visiting Eng websites, e.g. Yahoo! uk, wikipedia
- meeting English-speaking friends

1. Can anyone tell me more about ways of learning English?
Never ask me to read books as I don't have the time to do so.

2. Any forums where I can meet Eng-speaking friends?

3. Is someone out there who can give me his/her MSN?
Of course not just discussing English, we can talk about other things and be friends.

There is a difference between written english, which you appear to have mastered and spoken english, which is for a non-native more difficult to master.
You really need to spend time conversing with people who have english as their first language so that you can pick up on all the little nuances that go with the spoken word.
You could try listening to BBC radio on the web for the British dialects or see if you can find some Australian or American stations if that is more suited to you, that would at least let you hear some of the pronunciation that the written word does'nt give you, then it is all down to practice.
Good Luck.

I honestly have to say that your english is very good. I speak english fluently so that is definitely a compliment. I know that it is a difficult language so I would be happy to help you in any way that I can. You can email me anytime at trandafirruusu@yahoo.com if you have any questions or whatever you feel like talking about. My msn is the same thing: trandafirruusu@hotmail.com. Maybe you could even teach me some mandarin. I am kind of a language junkee and I love learning new things so it should be fun. I'll talk to you later.

English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

Your English is excellent, as is your grammar and spelling. I don't have an MSN but if you click the picture by this answer you can email me, and I will try to answer in American (Different than English in a number of ways).

If you can get an English language channel, that's a good way to tidy up an accent, but be cautious of American News Channels. The average news broadcast here, only has about a 600 word vocabulary, and most of that is slang. And be careful all that TV doesn't spoil your English.
