These circuits don't do any filtering themselves. Using a center-tapped transformer is usually only suitable for low power applications as the higher the power, the larger (and heavier) the transformer required. A bridge rectifier (with the 4 diodes for single phase AC) can handle more power but the output is the same. You would need to add an RC or LC circuit to the output to achieve filtering.
