So what the heck am I then? I'm a polytheist! Don't you think a polytheist would have more in common with any sort of theist then an Atheist? Come on, use common sense. Atheist means someone who believes that no Gods exist. That is the exact opposite of any kind of theist.

a is without; theos is god belief...atheos....in English it's atheist. I think the only thing we have in common is "theist" being part of the label and the desire to search for what is true about life.

Umm..... no... we don't. Not in the field of religion, we don't. If someone is "a theist", they are one who believes in the existence of a god or gods. If someone is "an atheist", they are one WITHOUT belief in the existence of a god or gods.
Big difference there. It's like the difference between being on fire and not being on fire. Really really big difference.
