A nosegay is a smaller, round, compacted bouquet (which is what I have chosen for my wedding) a hand held is more loose, with hanging flowers. Congrats!!

I'm not an expert on these things but I understand that a nosegay is a small bouquet. I don't think one is more romantic than the other. The bouquet should be part of your overall design. If you are doing simple and understated you'll want a small bouquet. If you are pulling out all the stops and having miles of lace and a twenty layer cake then you'll want your bouquet to be a (just barely) portable floral arrangement. Depends on your taste and your budget.

Nosegay is generally made out of one type of flower and made to be smaller and not so dramatic.

A hand style bouquet is generally much larger and a more dramatic statement and sometimes has a less uniform look, unlike a round ball. These are also made of numerous types of flowers, as well, and include greenery!

Nosegay is small and round. They're nice but if u want a bigger, fuller bouquet go with a handheld.
