Tragic events like the one you mention certainly affect you later in life, as you grow up you will feel the void left by your parent. Think about fathers day and mothers day, and all of the other significant moments in your life when their presence would mean so much. A child that has lost a parent might be afraid to get close to people for fear of losing them, they might also exhibit other maladaptive behaviors. It of course depends on the child and how he or she was brought up. The support system that the child has will have a tremendous effect on how the child will cope with the situation. It is impossible to predict what kind of a role this loss will play in the child's life but it is safe to assume that it will have an effect, however insignificant and uncounscious it might seem.

There is no right answer for this, as it effects each person differently. One way of looking at it is that there is the "what happened" - that is a factual reporting of the events in their simplist form, such as 'my parent passed away when I was 5'. The other way of looking at this is the story you create around it - that is the meaning that you attach to the event. The impact of the event is often based in the story (the meaning) that you give the event. How you react in situations will be effected by your decision to accept the what happened, and live into the future, or dwell in the story, and be chained to the past.

Everyone is different some people tend to bottle things up inside and not talk to anyone because they may think they have gotten over the tragedy that's taken place but really they havent and they havent allowed helped from someone..
when more things go wrong all this tends to build up in the mind to the point where you dont care much anymore about what you do or say to the ones you love..... until it's too late and you're left with guilt..
that's why there's such things as counselling to try to prevent you falling apart later in life as from the momment something bad happens to you ,, you have in mind that everything is going to go wrong all the time,, everything that happens in life does effect people in different ways it depends on the type of person you are and how serious the matter is

It effects, yes.
Children does not know how to deal with it, unless they are guided by someone. Probably their guardian. Even then they become victim of recurring flashback and events in life that makes them realize missing people and love in life. The compare themselves to others. Even if they have all that they need in material world.

you should know that the God and all the things which decide about us is within us and that is our thought and our subconscious and it is impossible to get free from them. so whenever you are not satisfied with your activity and you have twinge of conscience, be sure the things which hurt you it will react one day and make you to suffer
