mobile divices such as mobile phones,laptop,PDAs are usually using battery powered.in technology,battery may be exhausted after a period of time.so,vwe must find a way to settle it..

i guess turn it off when your done using it, or when you know you wont be using it for an extended period of time.

New ICs operate at lower voltage and can use a slower clock.

So here are the tricks:
Lower the operating voltage
Lower the clock
Power down circuits when not in use (turn off Displays, etc)
