Knowing my daughter and husband are home safe & sound, a clean house top to bottom, a powerful, hot shower and getting into a freshly made bed and reading. A sunset over a calm sea. Knowing that all my work is done. Smelling freshly laundered clothes. Watching an unhealthy plant come back to life and becoming strong and brilliant green. That I have enough petrol in the car and a good CD in the player. That the sun will shine all day! :-)

Really just one thing: Realizing that I have been issued a personal reservation which entitles me to one free eternity in the presence of my Creator. I received this reservation, not because I have earned it (I could never work that hard or that long), but because Christ bought it for me on the cross. The retirement benefits are really out of this world; THAT gives me a "settled" peace while I travel through this snarling world everyday.

It depends.

For relaxation from stress, it's listening to nature tapes while soaking in a hot tub.

For stress from fear, it's Psalm 91.

For stress caused by the news in these days before the Rapture , it's knowing I'm saved.

For stress caused by tiredness, it's a glass of wine and a good mystery book.

peace of mind is waiting there
