The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew, then translated to Greek (The Septuagint). There are a few Aramaic passages in Daniel. The New Testament was written in Greek, which was the common written language of the day. There are currently over 26,000 copies of full or partial manuscripts of the Bible, far more than any other ancient literature. There are no original ancient writings in existence. Through time, temperature, and the materials they were written on, they didn't last long. That is why so many copies were made of the Bible, so it would last as long as man is on the earth. Here is a little piece you may find interesting: "Archaeological findings continue to confirm rather than refute the accuracy of the Bible. For example, an archeological find in northern Israel in August 1993 confirmed the existence of King David, author of many of the Psalms in the Bible.10 The Dead Sea Scrolls and other archaeological discoveries continue to substantiate the historical accuracy of the Bible. The Bible was written over a 1500-year span, by 40 different authors, in different locations and on separate continents, written in three different languages, covering diverse subject matters at different points in history.11 Yet there is an astounding consistency in its message. Throughout the entire Bible the same message appears: 1. God created the world we live in, and created us specifically to have a relationship with Him. 2. He deeply loves us. 3. We have sinned and are under God's judgment, in need of His forgiveness. 4. God provided a way for our sins to be forgiven. 5. He asks us to receive His forgiveness and have a relationship with Him that will last eternally. Along with this central script, the Bible specifically reveals God's character. Psalm 145 is a typical summary of God's personality, thoughts and feelings toward us. If you want to know God, here He is."

1 The bible was written by many men inspired by God through the Holy Spirit over thousands of years.
2 There are many books out there that are written in other languages and effectively translated to Engilsh, German, and Arabic.
3 There are old versions of the New Testament that have been dated to within 100 years of Christ, but no, an original copy does not still exist there was no way to preserve documents for thousands of years, that is why it was copied over and over so that there would always be a copy in every generation.
4 The Catholic church recognizes the 7 books of the Apocrapha that the rest of the Christian church sees as books written by followers of Christ, but not God inspired.
5 What mistakes, could you be specific?
6 Because we are still human and we make mistakes
7 There is no word dinosaur either but it doesn't change the fact that they are mentioned. Trinity is a word given by the church to attempt to make the three Holy entities easier to explain. It is still hard to grasp though, so maybe someone will come up with a better word soon.
8Jesus does not complain about crusifixtion. He mourns the loss of His fathers favor. At the point when Jesus was crying this out, the sins of the world past, present, and future were put on Him. Since God could not look upon Jesus while He was covered in sin, He turned away. Would we not all cry out in sorrow if our father turned from us at the hardest point of our journey? Jesus did not want to be crusified. He asked for the burden to be lifted, but only if it was Gods will. He showed the ultimate faith and subservience.
9 in Psalms 2:7 David is talking about the coming Messiah, Jesus not himself
10 Because "the wages of sin is death" which means if we sin we are seperated from God for all eternity, but "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" God sent Jesus and Jesus willingly gave himself. BECAUSE He is a loving God, He sent His Son to show His grace and mercy.

Hope this helps clear a few things up.

Old testament was written in Hebrew.
New testament was written in Greek.

Thus, over a period of 1,600 years from Moses' time on, some 40 men shared in writing the harmonious record of the Bible. They testify that their writings were inspired by a power far higher than mortal man. The Christian apostle Paul wrote: "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness."* (2 Timothy 3:16) And the apostle Peter explained: "No prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. For prophecy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit."—2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Samuel 23:2; Luke 1:70.

The Bible was written by a variety of authors spread over a period of thousands of years written mainly in Hebrew and Koinie Greek.

The Catholic bible includes books that have been rejected by the majority of Biblical scholarship as authentic. Also Catholics do not hold these books as the same level of "authority" as the rest of the Biblical cannon.

I am a "Born Again Christian". I am VERY careful to teach only that which is directly from the Bible. I agree with the 1st century Christians as reflected in the NT text.

David is a foreshadow of Jesus. Enough said.

Yes a just God would in fact "punish" Jesus for the sins of the world. In fact this is WHY he had to do it to remain just. Read Romans 3:25-26

The Bible as you know is in two parts- the first and largest part is based on the Babylonian Talmud created in to phases by Jeremiah and Baruch around 590 BCE and then again by Ezra and Nehemiah around 450 to 430 BCE.

The second part (New Testament and Gospels) were written by Paul of Tarsus and the Jewish High Priests (House of Ananus) that both crucified Jesus, murdered his successor, James the Just in order to subvert the Nazarene Church and create a false religion called Christianity.

The Bible is not an authentic document, it is a selection of bits of anonymous ancient writing cobbled together because they seem to fit a storyline that those who compiled the thing wanted to tell, it has been edited and re-edited often and it has been added to and changed many times over the years when it seemed politically convenient to certain individuals in power at the time...how can this torturous mess be construed as a moral guide by anyone is the biggest mystery, we know it is not the word of God... however generous we try to be.

No, a just God, a Fair God, and Loving God would not punish Jesus for the sins of others. Jesus is God and God in the form of Jesus accepted the punishment that was due to you and I. God paid the price for our sins, a price we could not afford to pay ourselves. The only way to heaven is for us to accept that Jesus paid the price for our salvation. We are all sinners, there is nothing you can do to erase you sin, only God can do that.

Jesus did not complain of the crucifixion, at the moment of his death, he took on all the sins of all humanity from before that time to the end of time. God who is pure and holy could not look upon the sin that stained his son Jesus. At that moment God looked away, and Jesus lamented that his holy father could not even look upon him.......My God, My God, Why have you foresaken me?

In the new testament, the books are named Luke, Matthew, etc. Those are the names of the authors who wrote it.
