I met a girl at a party the other night and we talked for a while and when she was leaving i asked her for her number and her friends urged her on to give it to me saying like "oh he's cute give him your number" and as she gave it to me she was like "i don't usually give guys my real number but here it is." I really found her to be cool and we had alot in common so my question is what should i say when i call her and how long should i talk to her for, should it be brief or try to keep a long conversation going and also should i ask to go out sometime or just try to keep her interest in me?

Call her and keep the conversation less than 20 minutes unless you all really get into something really interesting to talk about for longer, yes ask her out so you can get to know her some and see if there is anything interesting between the two of you. You never know whats gonna happen if you dont take a risk and see whats out there - first date suggestion - go to lunch (dinner is too much pressure) or go out for coffee & pastry - its a fun kind of first date and you will have plenty of time to talk but it wouldnt be a really super long date. If you like her still at the end of the date, makes plans for a dinner & movie type thing. Good luck with her :)

be brief and see how the convo goes. you just met her, so it may be too soon to ask her out. have some friends over (mutual friends would be best) and say that you were wondering if she'd like to come. less stress cuz you're in a group and plus, you're calling her back and inviting her somewhere. It's not a definitive sign that you're interested, but enough to make her wonder and think about you. that's really the beginning goal, isn't it? ;)

How ever long the conversation goes, you should wait untill you call her to decide that. If you feel that she will say yes ask her out for coffee or something

make it short and sweet. i really want to see you again. i had fun the other night. wanna go somewhere? etc. not life dragging conversation....if you do that then there will be nothing to talk about on the date ;]
