every time i see her i try to catch my breath but i cant she means a lot to me and i could see us together but i just cant help the possiblity of rejection

Stick a note in her locker. She'll love that. And if she doesn't, and she cares about you in any form, even as a friend, she find a way to reject you so you don't realize you've been rejected. If you can see it, she probably can too. I had a friendship like that last year, but before I could tell him, he moved about 8 hours away. I told him through IM, and he could see it too. So take the opportunity when you have it.

lol. you just have to be brave about it. depending on yours and her personality you can just shrug off rejection and make it not a big deal. its only awkward if you make it awkward. (i took a chick i liked to lunch and asked her if she liked me, and she told me know but we just laughed about it. you just have to make the best of it)
