Drinking Casually both are great. It's all about what you like. There are more unique wines then there are beers, but there are an awful lot of beers. Personally I don't ever drink to get drunk, but I try all sorts of wines and beers whenever I can.

Also, if drinking with food they are even better. Wine is usually the best food beverage, but beer has it's place. Beer is great with spicy food and is also great with pizza.

Depends on the occasion and environment. If you want a romantic kind of setting and more solemn, wine is definitely the choice either red or white wine. If it is for real party or watching sport games, beer is preferred due to the tense atmosphere.

wine, wine, wine. I prefer Chardonnay or Johannasburg Reisling. I could drink any wine though before beer. I absolutely hate the taste of beer.

I've tried many beers, but they all taste like crap to me. I don't know how people say different beers have different tastes. I can't tell the difference and I also hate the smell of beer.

It's wine all the way for me.

That is like asking what is better the missionary position or ***** style! It is a mood thing. This evening I went to a basketball game with a friend and had a Heineken. When I got home to my wife we split a very nice bottle of Pinot Noir. Both were great because of the the mood and setting. Situation, mood and what you are eating are the main factors to determine what is best. Sometimes a shot of tequila is what is right.

Medical researchers have known for quite a while that drinking alcohol moderately seems to have a beneficial effect on health, particularly on heart disease. Now a new study by Danish researchers suggests that wine drinkers have a substantially lower death rate than people who drink other forms of alcohol.

Wine drinkers appear to live longer. Wine appears to have a beneficial effect on cancer mortality, as well as on mortality due to heart disease.

Alcohol in moderation seems to be beneficial unless a particular person has reasons to avoid it. One to two drinks per day for a man, and one-half to one drink per day for a woman.

In the study, researchers looked at survey data on drinking patterns for almost 25,000 men and women, as well as data on death rates from national registries. This is the largest study of its kind so far. They found wine drinkers decreased their risk of death by a third compared with nondrinkers. People who avoided wine but drank other forms of alcohol showed a 10% reduction, compared to nondrinkers.

the beneficial effects of wine -- as opposed to alcohol in general -- are due to a substance called resveratrol. Grapes are about the only fruit that has resveratrol. People who do not drink wine may be able to obtain some of the same health benefits by eating grapes.

according to doctors and surveys, one small glass of red wine/day, helps the heart and minimizes the risk of heart diseases. i ve never heard that beer helps in anything but in general, all drinks are ok since there is a limit. too much drinking can cause terrible things like cirrosis of the liver which can be lethal.
