You may or may not get one on your face. It depends on if you have any open sores or spots where the bacteria could have entered. It will most likey just show up as acne though since ths is caused by the staph bacteria also.

Boils are caused by the staph germ. You should NEVER "pop" a boil. The way to do it is actually pull it apart. By popping it, you make it go deeper into your skin. If it spreads you will continue to get more boils.

You want to remove the core. If the core is not removed the boil will return. It would help to know where your boil is located on your body. You want to wash everything you touch in HOT water. Wash your hands in hot water and soap every time you pass a sink.....

If the pain is bad and you have not been able to remove the core then use gauze wrapping. Soak the gauze with hot water and lay it on the boil area. Then wrap saran wrap over it. The wrap will keep the heat in longer than if it is not covered. When the gauze cools, throw that gauze away and start over. This will make the core come up to the top and then you can remove. Do not put anything on the boil because you do not want it to heal until the core is gone.

I doubt you will get one from touching your face unless the junk from the boil was on your hand. You need to do the washing of towels, etc. That is very important.
I hope this is clear. If it isn't and you have questions, you can email me.
The best thing to do is go to the doctor and they will lance it. The doctor would also put you on an antibiotic to clear the staph infection. Boils are nothing to mess with. It is not going to kill you but I would go to the doctor.
