Called the "Weeping" Prophet. Read book of Jeremiah verses 1-3 to get his background, a good study Bible would help you also.

Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet because He spoke of the judgement of God and prophisied their suffering, his weeping was because he knew that they wouldn't repent.
