ppl can donate their organs, but can vocal cords be donated also?

Well, any body part can be donated, but the real question I think you're asking is can vocal chords be transplanted.

Otherwise, the donation would be for scientific study purposes (maybe doctors will figure out how to transplant them, with the help of generous donors).

I don't know, but if you contact the donor coordinator any any hospital you can certainly get an authoritative answer.

vocal chords do not produce voice on their own,vocal chords along wit d larynx, muscles of d throat, tongue,cheek and lips together coordinate and create wat we hear as voice.imagine a violin,d vocal chords are just d strings.............as you kno it takes more than jus strings to create music.A more probable scenario would be transplantation of d larynx(voice box) which has not been done yet.

i guess..i don't know if they actually do vocal cord transplants, but when britney spears dies, i hope to be getting hers! lol =]
