I have been going on a binge/purge cycle for a while, now. I was wondering if anybody knows how I can treat myself by myself without having my parents know. I have decided to tell them myself. Also, I was wondering if anybody knows any good tips on how to tell my parents what I have been doing. Thank you in advance for answering. Thank you for reading and understanding!!!

The first step to self treatment is realizing that you have a problem. I wouldn't try to take on this large endeavor by yourself. Do all the research and reading you can about it. The more you know, the better off you will be. Don't be afraid to call a professional. I'm sure your local mental health center would be more than willing to help you. Most offices are equipped with a 24 hour counseling hotline...Good luck....God Bless You.

sweety, the truth is that there is no easy way to tell them. However the fact that you want to change this behaviour and care for your health should help them feel like they have raised a responsible child (parents love that)
I dont know how they will react, but if u find that they are not being supportive then please continue to seek help till u find someone you like and who is helpfull.
WELL DONE for recognising that this is a problem and having the courage and determination to do something about it.
You should be proud of yourself! Hell... im proud of u!
Please dont try to treat this on your own, it rarely works.
Find someone proffessional who can help.
You go girl!

i don't think this is something you should go through alone. i would just sit your parents down and tell them. they will be glad you did, and you can seek help together. if you don't think you will have the courage to tell them, try writing them a letter. they will understand, and with the help you need, i am sure you will be fine. best wishes!
