Nee means you
Hau means good
ma is a questioning word kinda like 'yes,no'?

So it's means ''you are good yes/no?" - the English equivalent is How are you?

The answer would be
'Wo hao' (wo refers to 'I')
or
'Wo hen hao' (hen means 'very good' - pronouned like 'hurn' without the r sound.)
or
'Wo pu hao' (pu means 'not')

It is a very informal way to say thanks, and is properly spelled gomaweo and pronounced (Ko Ma Waw). 고마워 Since it is a Korean word, you should follow Korean tradition when you employ it. Only say it to very good friends, people who are younger than you, or animals. If you want to say "thanks" in a normal conversation, you should say: gomabseubnida (pronounced Ko Mop Suum Nee Da) 고맙습니다 or gomawayo (pronounced Ko Mah Why Yo) 고마워요. Hope that helps.

It literally means, "Are you well?".

A common reply is "Hao. Nee neh?" which means, "Yes. And you?"
