so i just started goin out with this guy and i really like him but i know i dont love him but he always says he loves me and i dont know what to say so i just say me to is it bad to say that??? and does he really mean it or does he say it casue we are going out??

I don't think you should say it until you truly mean it. "I love you" is a really strong thing to say, and just because your boyfriend says it doesn't mean you have to. Don't feel pressured to say it, or even obligated to say it just because you're going out. I think you should stick to your gut, and stay true to yourself. Until then, you can still let you boyfriend know how much he means to you without saying you love him - and if he gets mad because you don't say it, be honest and tell him why. He may be offended, but he need to respect your wishes and feelings, and if he gets mad he isn't doing that and is probably not the right guy for you. Don't say it until your ready. And when that time comes, you'll know. And think about it this way: The longer you wait to say you love him, the more special it will be when you finally do say it! Remember that old saying: "Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder."

If you just started dating and he's telling you he loves you, he's being dishonest. You're wrestling with what to say because your instincts are telling you what he's telling you is very strange. You love someone when you truly know them, good and bad. Love is based on really getting to know someone not just how you feel about them physiologically. This a red flag really early. You can confront him, move on or slow things down by letting him know you care but you're not feeling any love feelings quite yet so you need him to slow down a little bit because you don't want him to be disappointed.

Don't feel like you have to say it back just because it feels uncomfortable when he says it. You could say that you think he's special or that you really care about him too. Something like that. Maybe you should ask him what he really means when he says it. Or ask him what it is he loves about you. It might be that he really likes you, thinks you're hot and has that confused with love.

Some people just say it out of habit, they say it all of the time. I don't think a person should say it unless they mean it. But remember, there are different kinds of love.

okay i love you is a tricky thing. you most likey don't love him if you don't know. love is the strongest feeling and you shouldn't feel pressured into saying it back to him. and personally i think he's saying it just because you are going out and that's the thing to say ya know?

He probably means it. Next time he says 'i love u', ask him 'do you really?' and ask him why he does and maybe from what he tells you, you'll like him even more. But, you shouldn't say 'i love u' without meaning it.

maybe he really does love you-or maybe hes just saying it. but dont say it till you know you definatly love him-it wil work out way better if you wait till the right time.
