My knees, elbows and underarms are slightly darker than my skin color... how do I even out the color...?

When I wear skirts, I hate how my knees look darker than my legs... and when I go swimming or wear tank tops... my underarm is darker and so is my bikini!

Its not that bad... but I am self concious about it :-(

Help please!!

For under your arms...are you using a new disposable razor each time you shave? You need a clean sharp razor; never reuse a razor or blade.

For knees & elbows a bleaching cream can work. I get a pharmicist mix of bleaching cream from a local medicine shoppe that worked for me. The beauty supply will sell a line of products you can try and some are made especially for knees and elbows. My knees cleared before my elbows did. Stay off your knees and elbows and give them attention when showering/bathing and keep them moisturized so the skin will soften.

Exfoliate your knees & elbows with a sugar scrub. Under arms may be too sensitive for any type of scrub though.

This is a great product. Use twice daily -- http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=14981&catid=21503&trx=PLST-0-SEARCH&trxp1=21503&trxp2=14981&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-SEARCH

A good skin care salon can recommend some options like acid peels for the darker areas. You should be able to get a free consultation to see what they're talking about. I've read where a lot of Black actresses do this to keep their knees & elbows smooth & even-toned ... http://www.thenaturallook.net/services_skin.html
