Who here doesn't need a book to know the divine? Who here can just be in the ocean, or under a tree, or on the grass looking up at the sky, and it just clicks for them?
That's what's happened to me, and everythings just made sense since that point. I think the truth is in the wind.
I don't care if you are religious or not, I think this experience defies religion. Maybe it even helped you understand yours more.
Anyone?

My current favorite place is Grandfather Mountain (in N.C.).
You can almost hear the mountain (& trees!) talking to you.
When I lived in N.Y. there were "magical" spots up in the Catskill Mountains too.

The sun, wind, rain & snow have taught me a lot.

I get what you mean. My spiritual side woke up one day out of the blue. I discovered that my own suffering was due to how I viewed the world and what I expected from it. Now, I have let go of many concepts and feel much more at peace with myself and have found lots of love for people around me.

You're a natrue-based religious person by innate thought patters. You should become an herbal healer. Pagans are good at that.

- I was Pagan for 2 years.

God created the Universe from something. Since there was nothing else but God everything was created by him OF him. there is a little bit of the Divine in everything.

Actually, no, you're not all alone. I am an animist and a polytheist. I completely understand what you are saying. :-)
