It's tough to turn off your mind, isn't it? I agree with the statement above about realizing that you know what you know, and that getting a good night's sleep is the best thing you can do. But that can still be hard to do.
Here are some suggestions:
Tell yourself that your brain will organize your knowledge while you sleep. This may actually be one of the reasons we need to sleep -- the scientific community hasn't sufficiently answered that question yet -- so you might as well let your physiology do it's job.
Do relaxation exercises just before bed. That means halting your studies maybe 20 minutes before your head hits the pillow, but again, learn to accept that you have done all that you can. Taking a bath or listening to waves on the beach (you can probably download an audio file of this) could do the trick. Do whatever it is that makes you sleepy.
Make a bargain with yourself. Tell yourself you will get to bed early and then wake up early to study the day of the test. That way you get the sleep first, and worry after resting.
Avoid caffein after lunch the day before the test. That goes for coffee, caffinated soda, tea, and at least some chocolates I think.
I can't recommend this for people under 18, but sexual release just before bed helps some people to shut off that anxious part of your brain so you can at least fall asleep. If you're in a committed, adult relationship, ask your partner to help "relieve the anxiety."
If you're creative enough, talk yourself into dreaming about the subject. You can learn just by opening up your mind to go where it wants, but still be surrounded by things that relate. If it's a history test, dream about that time of history. If it's math, see yourself jumping into a pool of calculations or whatnot, and swimming like a mermaid through the coral reef of the discipline. Biology? Shrink yourself down to the size of an amoeba and float amongst the veins, muscles and bones. Chemistry? Become a molecule and interact with your friends (or enemies) and see what happens.
Most of all. learn to trust yourself that you've done enough preparation, that you were intelligent enough to get into the class, so you will be smart enough to figure out the answers, and that you've done this before. You know the routine. You'll do fine.
Are you bored enough to fall asleep yet?
Best of luck!

Well you need to learn to clear you mind, and you need to learn to quit worry about something that has not even happen yet. You really need that sleep, so you can be fresh when you go to school, and have exams that week, or how ever they do it now adays. You need to learn to relax before going to bed, and go out and have some fun with some friends, or watch a really funny movie, that you know will make you laught, and just try not to think of the exams that are coming up, and just relax and read a little of a book or something like that, and fall asleep, cause you really need to get that sleep, it is very importane for you. You take care now, and god bless.

That wasn't the question, fizz you jackass.
Your alertness on a test day depends on the amount of sleep you get over a long period of time- not just the night before. If you had 4 nights of 9 hour sleep the week before a test, you could have a less than ideal amount of sleep the night before the test and still be alert.
Try to go to bed the same time every night including fri, sat and sun.

You're all worked up about the exams. You have to make yourself realize that you either know the material or you don't. If you don't know it by the night before the exam, you probably won't. Keeping yourself awake worrying about it isn't going to change anything. In fact, you probably know more than you think. So, get a good night of sleep and give yourself a fighting chance.

I think there are heaps of things you can do, you need to destress and calm your mind down, meditation will help if you want to look into that but some simple breathing excercises should do the trick for now, slow your thoughts down and focus on your breathing, count in your mind as you breath in 1,2,3...5 and out 1,2,3...5 and do this until you are comletely focused on your breath, its very hard for other thoughts to come in when you do this but if and when they do gently bring your attention back to your breath.
