I think if you use it twice a day every day, your skin might become "dependant" on it as you say... I think of it more like your skin becoming almost "immune" to it's effects after a while... Of course, a dermatologist or other expert would be better able to answer this question, I'm sure, but as a Proactive user myself, I can share my own experience: I use it on and off, as needed. Never more than once a day. If I use it twice, my skin tends to feel a little raw and sometimes starts to flake. Also, it's better to use it at night, because it can make your skin sensitive to the sunlight. In any case, I enjoy using it at night more, because I wake up to clearer skin and smaller pored! As with most other things, I think it works best when used in moderation. I alternate it with a mild wash, or some all-natural herbal concoctions that I have friends and family bring me from overseas that seem to work even better than the Proactive!

Personally, I think your skin can become dependant on any facial products you use over time, just like you need to change your shampoo & conditioner once in awhile to prevent build-ups, your skin needs a change as well. Think of Proactiv as a prescription for your skin, would you take a prescription once a day if it was prescribed for you to take three times a day? If you are still uncertain, make an appointment with your local Aesthetician or Dermatologist for problem skin. They can give you a customized facial treatment to take home. Hope this answered your question.

Your skin doesn't become dependant on ProActiv. When you stop using it for a while (two to three weeks), you'll start getting acne again, but that's because you're not using it and they naturally come back. I use it once a day and it works perfectly for me so you would probably be okay once a day, too.

Yes it does become dependent on it. I used it for a year and when i stopped i had some major breakouts to deal with and now nothing else wants to work. If you do use it then it is better to use it both times, if you use it once it might not work as well but it really depends on how bad you are having breakouts. If your breakouts aren't that bad you may not need the twice a day.

Oh my gosh, I under no circumstances even concept-about some thing like that. i extremely do not recognize the reply on your question yet i became utilising Proactiv, and then i ended because I wasn't seeing any outcomes, and began utilising Noxema and now my face is broke out extremely undesirable, i do not recognize even if that is with the aid of that, or an allergic reaction or some thing to the Noxema.

i used proactive and it didnt wworked for me, but if its working and you want to quit it, stop using it and start washing your face with a neutral soap, day and night, and moisturizing it with an oil free lotion

I don't know.

I would think if u miss a day, that u would cultivate the bacteria resistant to it=more acne.
