The amount you give to the church is a charitable donation, and can be deducted on your taxes if you itemize. You should have a receipt to show what you gave - most churches send them out at year end.

There is a set limit on the amount you can deduct as a donation to a not for profit orginazion

Donation, unless it isn't a tithe. Then it is a gift. You can write it off, but you need to make sure when you tithe/offer you put your name on it, and the church should keep record of whatever it is. Then at the end of the year, they add it up and sometimes you have to ask for the information, sometimes they send it out...good luck and God bless you.

Probably a gift. I don't think you can count that as a deduction because you don't have any receipts to prove it.
