Heck Yea,

Most men have fragile egos so they are afraid to ask a girl out and they are deathly afraid of rejection. Then when they ask the girl out they are afraid of losing their manliness. Which is why most men are embarrassed to buy woman's tampons. They are afraid that someone might think they are using them OR that they are so henpecked that their manhood is in danger.

It takes a secure man, or a man who is confident in his own position to date a woman that is his equal or even superior in some ways (there I go qualifying it, because even I feel intimidated by a person who is my superior).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I can't make any judgments there. A sense of humor is relative as well. Is your sense of humor the ability to make quick sharp and pointed remarks (almost insults) about someone, are you someone like me who puns too much, or do you just think you are funny. I have no way of knowing that either. Smart is easy to determine, and most people who hang out here consider themselves to be smart, I know I do.

I don't know if you are old enough t o remember the TV show WKRP, but it was about a radio station and the personal behind it (based on the movie FM). Lonny Anderson played the receptionists. She was very smart and a real beauty. Most people saw her as to much to handle or date.

Then there are the male code words you used. Anyone described as having a good sense of humor or being funny is thought of as being ugly. Not because they are ugly, but because if those code words are used instead of saying how beautiful a woman is then they by the all or non-logic they must be ugly. I didn’t make the rules nor invent the code words I am just a guy who knows them.

One of my requirements for a woman would be someone who is at least as smart as I am. I don’t mind explaining a few things, but when my sense of humor goes over her head I don’t feel comfortable. So I am don’t think you should down play your intelligence. I would recommend downplaying your sense of humor though. As for being beautiful that’s going to be something that you are going to have to figure out on your own. I can’t determine very well what makes a guy look cute or not. I don’t think that Justin Timberlake is cute, but then I am not attracted by men.

If you are a teenager then I suggest that you try asking out the guy you want. The worst that they can say is no. If you do it in private then you won’t be embarrassed. If you are older then you may have to try another tactic like a dating service or speed dating. I wish I had more advice to give you, but I don’t and I am probably too old for you (click on my Avatar to find out).

beautiful scares the s*** out of me. No, really.
Why would funny scare anybody? Many comics are not happy people, I've heard. Superficial and funny isn't the same as funny. Funny at someone elses expense is also another thing entirely.
Smart? You mean prove to the world at every opportunity smart? Or show him that anything he can do you can do better smart? Do you want a man to compete with or to love? Trying to have both is for Reality TV - doesn't work in real life.
I think its more about self-esteem than anything else. Sucessful men with good solid self-esteem seek out beautiful, funny smart women. As for the rest of us...They did a study and (to paraphrase) found that people basically find a spouse with approximately similar "value" in terms of spousal parameters: rich and ugly might marry smart and pretty, old and smart marry young and healthy but there is a currency in these things. Love is not blind.

Beautiful will scare a lot of guys. Funny doesn't scare most men. Smart may scare some men. Smart @ss will scare all men.

Humm...i think it's the way you present yourself that may scare a guy away. Though some may feel intimidated by brains and beauty (all in one package), most don't really care because they're after a piece of a**. But the genuinely true men tend to find it attractive that women aren't just fragile beings...

The only thing that scares us is can we have you.
We think it will not work with smart, fun, and beautiful.
Becuase most of those type are maybe too smart and never give us smart, fun and hot guys a try. So it always goes wrong.
You need a real dumb guy that does not know your smart, and beautiful..so try me.

Actually, as crazy as some people think your question sounds, the answer is YES. It is true that men are intimidated by beautiful, funny, and smart women - they make them feel shy, awkward, and unworthy. So they go for women that are lower standards, and this then makes her feel like something is wrong with her - which isn't true at all!!!

I think it's in the presentation. If you are beautiful it shows so there is no need to over-react. I think men love a woman with a sense of humor and smarts. Who wouldnt want someone with all those traits? It's all in how you carry yourself with those qualities.

No that is a heck of a woman to me. It might scare some men who do not feel they are as smart or have confidence issues.

Only the insecure men out there that want a dumb female so they can control things. BTW, I'm a 41 yr old male! Younger men don't appreciate a womans talents and smarts. They are intimidated by it. Men who are mature appreciate it and look for it.
