Only if you have genotype 2 and you have been undetectable since week 12. If you have anything other than genotype 2, you have a great likelihood of relapsing. This virus is very tough and hard to fight, that's why the treatment is so long. The longer you can tolerate it, the better. Ask your doctor. I volunteer in a hep c clinic and most people need to do the treatment for 48-52 weeks. If you go off too early, then everything you've done will be in vain. Hang in there.

Hep C treatment typically runs from 24 to 48 weeks. Your doctor should follow you up very shortly to see what your HepC serum levels are like. Depending on the prognosis, they may ask you to continue, or tell you you may stop.

You've made it this far - hold on, hopefully it won't be much longer!
