That is kind of a hard question, because you cant help who you love, but I am going to say that, no, it is not okay. As a matter of fact, I dont even know if you can legally marry your first cousin. Marrying your cousin, especailly if you want children is not a good idea. It has to do with you gene pool being to shallow and there would be a large likelyhood of your children being mental or physically handicapped. Hope you get things worked out.

She's your first cousin. This is prohibited by law in 49 states. And for good reason! The genetics are too close. What should you do? Grow up and get out of college before wanting to marry anyone, and in the meantime, focus on developing socially acceptable relationships.

well i agree with most of the other people, it is wrong! your mothers sister (your aunt) her daughter (ya not happening)
here is my lil story. my aunt married her 1st cousin and 5 children. her 1st child came early and had so many problems he passed away at 6 mo :( her 2nd child my cousin matt... omg is he the worst person to ever have a conversation with he thinks everyone is out to get him and the goverment is secretly following him and so on hes crazy and he thinks hes normal, her 3rd child is very very smart but.. he has a skin problem. no matter what his skin always peels and its nasty... but he is smart. then her 4th child was a miscarriage and her 5th is a lil weird too......
incest isnt good. think about anything that would happen if you were with her or married her. you had a child even if it was an accident omg that poor child would resent you for acting on what you think is love. im not trying to be mean or anything but you need to think of it this way. for one your parents dont want to have anything to do with it. and if you did accidentally have a child he or she would grow up and know she was related to her mother more than her mother it would be her2nd cousin also. how do you think that kid would feel? how would you feel. think about it that way.

Hm. I don't mean to insult your intelligence or anything, but are you 100% sure the feeling is LOVE and not just attraction? Sometimes, two people, even though they may be relatives, feel attracted to each other (because it's more of a primitive/biological attribute to feel attraction for someone who catches your eye, whoever it may be). Furthermore, are you sure you don't love her JUST AS a close relative?
If you are in love with her, keep in mind that you will face many, many opposition. I wouldn't say your love is "gross" but it is called incest and is looked down on by society. And you will not be allowed to have any children together (because the odds of having healthy children are low). However, if you're ready to face all that, I wish you the best of luck. Others have pulled it off before.
Good luck and best wishes to you!

Depends on which state you live in. see links.
In general, it is legal for you to court and marry your first cousin.
"No European country prohibits marriage between first cousins. It is also legal throughout Canada and Mexico to marry your cousin. The U.S. is the only western country with cousin marriage restrictions."
Concerning genetics: "Children of non-related couples have a 2-3% risk of birth defects, as opposed to first cousins having a 4-6% risk."

You must not be to hot looking or something to have to want to marry a 1st. cousin, which is illegal. I think you both have a problem between the ears. Gross is correct and your kids can be born with mental disorders, and that is to say the least.

This sounds like incest to me! I think you should forget about your cousin. This is totally wrong and considered inbreeding. If you have children with your cousin there is every chance that they be born brain damaged or physically deformed. Please don't do this, it is wrong!!
Find a girl who isn't related to you and do things the normal way.
I hope it all works out for you as everyone deserves love with the right person, not a relative!!

Oh dear....just a suggestion...look at your cousin as your own sister. Would you still marry her & kiss her if she was your sister? Not good....
There are thousands of other girls in this world to choose from...you are both walking a dangerous path and need to stop. The family ties are too close...believe me, you will both find other partners eventually and be just as happy.
PEACE:)

It's natural to be attracted to your own genes. Depending on if you are religious or not (marriage often implies religion), then I would say obey the marriage laws of your religion. Christianity, for example, prohibits the marriage of cousins.
Genetically speaking, you do realize that if you have any kids with your cousin, that there is a very high chance that they will be retarded?
