well my first suggestion is
become friends with her first! wait a few weeks.. get to know her.. maybe she likes you and you might not even know it but
dont be like the guy i know and write a note saying "i miss you more than i'd miss living if i was dead"
That creeped me out SO much and was such a turn off and saying you love her without even knowing if she likes you is a no-no also..
