Your logic is sound and your analogy is robust. People should not get angry, but they do because, I think, of the following reasons:
1. TEMPER: They do not want their opinion to be nullified.
2. ARROGANCE: They are and arrogance eventually leads to all wrong things.
3. FEAR: Lack of self-confidence breeds fear.
4. OVERSENSITIVITY: Some people are so sickly sensitive and feel being insulted so easily.
5. ONE-TRACK-BRAIN: They do not have good mental peripheral vision, therefore, they do not see the point.
6. NARROW MINDEDNESS: Stupidity, put mildly.
And the list, believe you me goes on and on.

I personally don't believe in the "christian GOD" , so when people say I'm going to hell, I get a bit angry. Because, it just shows that they are trying to feel superior to you and trying to put you down because you don't believe in what they think is right. They are so blinded by ignorance that they forgot the whole meaning of their religion. Is their ignorance that gets me angry. How can a people being persecuted in the past for believing in what they believe, now, persecute other people for their beliefs? I have one term for that, Hypocrisy. Doesn't it make you think???

God isn't all indignant and all hateful. nor is He all loving and all forgiving. You reject His Son Jesus Christ and also you'll sense his wrath interior the Day of Judgment. the phobia of the Lord is the start of know-how. in case you at the on the spot are not strolling interior the Spirit then you genuinely are gratifying the lust of the flesh. Now the works of the flesh are take position, that are those; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like; of the which I inform you in the previous, as I have also advised you in time previous, that they which do such issues shall no longer inherit the dominion of God. God loves people. God hates the sin of homosexuality it is lasciviousness and uncleanness. I have the "wish of righteousness" because I try complicated to stroll interior the Spirit. The Holy Spirit purifies and refines, yet none are perfect - no no longer one. God is Love, yet he's likewise the Divine choose of all mankind. God would have His angels solid the depraved into the Lake of hearth . . . eternal hell. only as a fornicator can chorus from having sex, so can also a gay chorus from having sex. God expects it and instructions it. you're commanded to understand the Holy Bible the note of God.

Hey, I do believe in the Norse Gods and they would NOT sent you to Nastrond if you didn't believe in them! So don't you dare use that comparison. The only way you'd end up there is if you were the worst sort of person who went about raping and murdering people, and even then Nastrond is not an eternal punishment.
People get offended (me included) because it is just place rude and obnoxious to tell people who do not share your religion that they are going to burn forever.

That is a very good question. I believe the answer is because somewhere in the back of their mind they do wonder and question whether or not Hell is real. If they're right, then they've got nothing to worry about....but if they're wrong (and the Bible says they are) they have a LOT to worry about.
Christians aren't telling them about Hell to annoy them or to force them into a "religion". Believing in God and doing His Will is not a religion. In order for us to obey God, we are to tell others and try to warn them of what is to come to ALL people. None of us will live forever, so why not try to help others while we're still here?? It is what God wants us to do after all.

I think most unbelievers get angry because they think that Christians think they are better than those who don't accept Jesus as their savior. It's based on a lack of information and knowing what we came from, which is right where most unbelievers are. We realize how unworthy we are and that Jesus is worthy of all the honor and praise, and they haven't gotten to the place in their life where they realize that they need to repent, so they don't have the understanding of unworthiness nor of holding someone else in as high regard as they would hold their savior if they were to accept him, nor of the desire to see everyone come to repentance and not to perish.

Well, it's kind of rude to tell someone that they would be eternally punished for believing in whatever they do without ever harming anyone with their beliefs. Even if we believe hell doesn't exist, we don't need other people to pray for us or threaten us and be condescending with us, it's a total rejection, no tolerance for atheists, and I'm an atheist that respects religion even if I don't believe in it, it's just not nice

Very good question which no one can refute. You are exactly right. I don't care what suffering someone says I will endure if I don't believe in their god..... If I don't believe in their God I don't believe in the suffering for not believing in their God, so all their threats mean nothing.

It's not about belief....it is about action. Specifically the action of xtians. I have no problem with anyone believing that I'm going to hell....I have a problem when their belief intrudes into my life and stomps upon the freedoms of others.
