I have 2 kids (5,2) who share a room. The older one, who has a flu, sleeps on top bunk, the little one, not sick yet, sleeps on bottom. Should they be sleeping in different rooms to prevent the little one from getting sick? (I've taken the usual precautions, washing hands, avoiding contact, etc)

Its pretty unlikely that your younger child will not catch it since they are still sharing a room...I had the flu once, and my sister and i shared a room...not long after that, she had the flu also.

Kids are not as meticulous as you are. The other one is all ready infected due to the incubation period. This will be tough and double duty.I'm so sorry. Lots of fluids, Tylenol as directed and Pediacare products as needed for comfort. Hope they get better soon. Next year, perhaps you can immunize them against the flu. The flu kills thousands a year. May they get better soon.

You can't avoid exposure to minor illnesses. This helps to build immunity. The little one has already been exposed. Wait and see if he gets it.
