Maybe...You should feel things out for a long time before doing that...Whatever, you can always change your phone number...

It's hard to say. My gut feeling says it's safer to err on the side of caution, & stick to meeting people the old fashioned way. But once in a while I hear of people who met on-line who might not have met otherwise, & are having successful relationships.

But most often I hear about people who are phonies, & are up to no good, & are out to take advantage of innocent people by meeting them on the internet.

If you are determined to meet this person, then I would do it in a very public place like a popular coffee shop somewhere outside of your neighbourhood.

I don't want to say that giving him your number was a mistake, but it was probably less than a good idea. If your number is listed, then he can do a reverse look-up, & get your home address. From there he can broaden his search, & acquire a fair bit of personal info on you before he has even met you.
The good news is, you can do the same thing with his number.
Do a reverse look-up, & see if he has given you honest information about who he is, & where he lives.
That should tell you how big of a mistake you made when you gave him your number.

Good luck!

Well since he gave you his number... I know that if I gave my number to a girl, and then she called.. Well I would ask for her number as well. And if she didnt give me her number I would probably be hurt... I would probably think that this girl thought I was creepy and was scared to give me her number... Is this guy creepy?? If not I really do not think that you made a mistake.. It sounds like he is interested in you.. If he had not asked for your number, then I would have been a little bit more worried... I think that you did the right thing!! I hope things work out for you! Good luck!

I really don't know. I don't think it's right, but I've done it before. I think it makes it feel better to talk on the phone than online. Just make sure that your number is one that's unlisted, so he can't figure out where you live (and if it's a work number, make sure you work somewhere busy, so someone will be there in case something goes horribly wrong). Good luck!

You made a mistake. I mean, chat portals and all, you have no clue who that guy really is. Tip: play it safe, hang around with your friends and actually MEET someone who you can then determine is a caliber at your boyfriend. Seriously, better to meet that special someone face to face first, not the other way around.
Just a protective statement. Ask your friends if they have any friends, meet those people, and the friend chain keeps going on and on. It's unsafe to give unknown people personal information.

He should have had your number on caller Id, when you called...

So that seems very odd that he would even ask for it!

He likes you, he just wanted you to say your number to him!!

Way 2 Go, Girl!

Good Luck!

Online chatting is safe yes, my families experience with anything further than that has been bad and even dangerous. Change your number.

I think it was a little soon to give him your number but it's not a mistake until he starts giving you the creep vibes.
