depends on the gap in age... if it is huge? it should... morally at least.... like if you are forty and you are dating someone that is 20-24? that, I think is not cool.... but...
if two people find they share some kind of bond? a feeling, and can relate, talk... grow, share, care.... and love each other? well....love is rare, precious... and needs to be cherished so the gap should not matter... except where it pertains to under age!! totally different there....

That all depends on your age. If the ages are 16 and 30 then yes age does matter. If on the other hand the ages are 30 and 45, I see nothing wrong with it. Age is only a state of mind anyway.

As long as it is not an Ashton and Demi situation. I think it is ok when the man is older but only by about 5-10 years. I prefer closer to my age. My friend is 37 and he married a 47 year old woman. Now after several years of marriage he is becoming very unhappy with her. She is at an age where she just doesn't care about the way she looks.

It's not as simple as "over 18"! Females mature sooner in males, so , even at the same age, they may want things their mates do NOT (commitment, living together, marriage, kids). What is most important, according to most studies is COMMON INTERESTS and I'd add, goals.
If one wants kids and marriage ASAP but the other wants it much later, then you'll have problems!
Still, it's not saying you can't have some fun along the way, just so long as you don't mislead anyone!

It matters if your under 21.
It matters if your age and your partner's age difference is more than 10 years apart.

I seem to be attracted to older men, I am 21 and this guy that seems to like me is 32.
But sometimes it does matter, you just have to know if you feel the same way they do.
Think long and hard about all possiblities.
I wouldn't date someone younger than me, or someone with kids.
You should make a list of what you want and what u dont want

Depending on age, yes. I do not feel a teenager can make a confident decision when it comes to a relationship with another individual.

How could it? Unless one person is old enough to drink and the other isn't...
What makes the big difference is the "generation gap" If I were dating a woman 10 years older or younger than me, we would have had a much different growing up, and consequently, a different perspective on Life.

shouldn't matter. Does it matter to you? compatability and feelings are the only thing that should matter in a relationship, not age.

No. But if one is a minor and the other is not, then yes, age matters.
