Baking soda mixed in a glass of water-about a tablespoon to a 8 ox glass. This is the basis of most antacids. It is very nasty tasting, but better than heartburn. Also try peppermint tea, if you have it. This is something else that helps. Good luck.

Freshly squeezed orange juic always does it. None of that concreated stuff [its yucky for ya]. Put cold or warm [ur choice] washcloth on their forehead for about 4-6 minutes and remove it. Drink lots of water too, about 2-3 bottles of it or 8 glasses. Buy some Adviel to make the heartburn go away.

The reason you get heartburn is b/c there is not enough acid in your stomach at the time of digestion. That creates fumes that rise up the esophagus and burn you. If you have vinegar, take a table spoon of it. Tastes like crap and will burn for a moment but cures heart burn. The baking soda works great too, it just makes you burp a lot and that can be painful if you have heart burn.

If you have baking soda around, dissolve one teaspoon of it in one glass of water and drink it. It may taste horrid but it should neutralize the acidity of your stomach which is what causing your heartburn.

Good Luck!
