After installing Storm Codec, all files that I convert to MPEG1 myself (not AVI) from any other format are not displayed on my screen incorrectly. Does anybody know how this happens and how I can fix this? Basically, the aspect ratio comes out screwed up whichever player I use to play them (WMP and Media Player Classic that came with the codec pack) though my video converters say it's 4:3 as I set for the out put files. BTW, the aspect ratio of some of the MPEG1's that I got from other sources are still preserved when I play them on my computer.

Here's a description for this codec pack:

As an addon & enhance of Windows Media Player, Storm Codec provides a solution to most popular media files, streams and VCD/DVD, it can play RealMedia, QuickTime, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (DivX, XviD, 3ivx, MP4, FFGS, H264...), AC3/DTS/LPCM, VP3/VP6, HDTV, Theora, TTL2, APE, FLAC, AAC, Subtitles, OGG/OGM, Matroska, MPC, Voxware, FLC, 3GP/AMR... without any other Media Player (But latest Windows Media Player it recommended).

One reason I don't use codec packs... It cannot be uninstalled cleanly and when it screws up you don't know what to undo.

IMHO, you should find a restore pt before the codec pack install and revert the system to that state.
