Hold on. I'm atheist myself, and the religion itself I have no problem with. It's the followers that take the Bible too literally and completely ignore the morals it teaches that piss me off. The religion isn't cruel, since Jesus preached peace. But if you say "God is on my side", you corrupt the religion. Come to think of it, you can also get away with pretty much anything if you say that too.

Yes if you view Jesus teachings of loving others and to not do violence to you enemies as cruel - then Jesus was very cruel.
Yessir I guess being kind to people is very evil and gets in the way of those nice people who like to rape, murder, rob, steal and other stuff that harms people.
Have you even read the Bible or do you just make your accusation of cruelty up? Those violent people who claim to be Christian are just people who "claim" to be Christian. If they were Christian they woulf follow Jesus teachings instead of their own hate.

Christianity is NOT a cruel religion! Many false religions claiming to follow Christ are NOT true Christians!! Roman Catholics (which are NOT Christians) centuries ago slaughtered many born again Christians! Christians slaughtered NO ONE! Roman Catholicism and Christianity are two totally different religions - NOT the same! The RC religion have hijacked the term which degrades the term 'Christian' because they do NOT follow the bible, but follow their own man-made rituals and customs that are not biblical. The RC church adopted the name 'Christian', but it is clearly NOT Christian! They contradict biblical truth!

Hi
My suggestion to you is to get a bible and read about Jesus.
He loves us so much that He shed His precious innocent blood on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
If you do take my suggestion, read the book of John first, it is in the New Testament. As you read ask God to reveal to you who Jesus is. Then get back to us with questions.
-Sincerely - a follower of Jesus Christ

Jesus didn't force anyone to form Christianity; they chose to follow him.

last year in Thailand or a country near it.Its supreme court made into law ,that if a citizen turned from islam and became a Christian and did not turn back to islam he was guilty of a crime punishable by death. Many citizens were murdered for this "crime".

God sent His Son to die for the sins of the world so that man could have everlasting life with Him in heaven. I don't see anything cruel about that.
