There's nothing wrong with showering twice in a day. If I shower in the morning and go out in the evening and come home reeking of smoke or if I've helped out my mom in the nursery day care for a day, I feel smelly or dirty and you can bet I'm showering again. Showering twice in a day is perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with wanting to feel clean. And a nice hot shower at night before bed can sometimes help you feel more relaxed and calm if you have trouble sleeping. As for washing your hair, only shampoo it once every other day. It's true that you can strip your hair of it's natural oils if you wash it too often. But showering, cleansing your body, nothing wrong with showering twice.

twice a day is a good amount of times to take a shower everyday. i take a shower twice a day everyday and if i feel dirty i would always take a shower. yeah shampooing your hair too many times isn't good for your hair. maybe buy a shampoo that can live oil in your hair because your hair needs it. what you can do is wash your hair every morning and at night just take a short shower...body wash only.

Depending on your products, too much washing can dry out your skin/hair. I usually shower at night because I don't end up feeling as "grimy" at the end of the day. If you want to shower twice, just use less shampoo if you're worried about your hair, or just rinse off and don't wash your hair again at all.

No, I think it's pretty healthy but i am no doctor.
I just use common sense.
The body secretes oils and while you sleep for some reason it seems your oil glands are more productive. Waking up and showering to wash away these oils is a pretty good idea in my book.
Then after a long day of working and sweating and moving about the same thing applies.

Actually, its even more unhealthy to take showers than baths because of the chlorine in the water. Since showers make steam more than baths, your skin absorbs more of the chlorine. So, you'd be better off taking a bath twice a day if you really want to feel that clean!

It is okay to shower twice a day - don't shower in water that is too hot. Moisturize your skin and condition your hair. I think a morning and evening shower is great.

no, it's usually not recommended to take a shower more than once a day, any more than that is drying for your skin and hair. however, if you MUST take a shower twice day, the 2nd shower, just rinse yourself w/lukewarm water, don't take a full shower (soap, shampoo, etc)

It's only bad for your hair if you shampoo it twice a day (or excessively often). You can feel free to shower as long as youdon't wash your hair all the time. Simply getting it wet is actually really good for it.
The average recommendation is to only shampoo your hair every other day or less often.

well, I shave my head so I shower up to three times a day without any problems...just kidding, but I do shower up to three times a day at times. I have heard the same thing about it being bad for your hair though...

showering isnt bad,but i have heard that using shampoo every day is not good for your hair because it strips your hair of natural oils. I wash my hair every 3rd or 4th day but everyday i will put in conditioner which is suppose to nourish your hair with vitamins and hydrate it to make it feel soft and strong and shiny and manageable.
