If you don't like gay marriage, don't marry a a gay person. If you don't like abortion, don't get an abortion (*Your* embryo may have a soul, but my belief sets say that any embryo I help to create does not have a soul). If you believe in abstainance only, don't have sex.

It's called FREEDOM. That is what this country was founded on, not Christianity.

"As the Government of the United States of America is **not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion**; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

~ US Treaty with Tripoli, as approved by George Washington and John Adams.

The thing I most resent is the implication that not holding those values is somehow not a value or immoral. Personally I find discriminating against others....like anti gay legislation....to be immoral. I find it offensive. I find anti-abortionists who think they somehow have the moral fiber to decide what is right for others offensive.

The thing I find most offensive is how these issues are used to distract people from things that matter. Like Iraq, Iran, Education, Energy Policy, Tax Policy, the erosion of our social infustructures....the deificet...etc. I have an opinion on Gay Marriage...I have an opinion on Flag Burning...etc...but the TRUTH is that these issues are unimportant in comparison with a lot of others. They effect comparatively so few people.

Should we debate Gay Marriage? Sure...but I;d like to see a plan for fixing Urban Blight artiulcated as well as I see anti-gay marriage legislation. It's a lot easier to talk about things like flag burning then it is to talk about things like immigration policy.

Who is trying to impose his value on you? Last time I checked your country was the epitome of personal freedom.
By the way there is no Mahometan nation. The correct term is Islamic nation.

Well, if you honestly are sick of them you need to get out and vote democrat. Thats the only way to stop them. To put republicans back in control of congress and the white house at the same time again only gives the so called value voters power to control these issues. To control you in the long run.

I will say this: homophobia, perpetual war, and greed are the "values" of the "value voters".
