I agree with the others. If you plan on telling someone you love him or that you want to break up with him, you should do it through face to face conversation. I don't think that can replace email, SMS, or a telephone call. They are sound very cold to me. Therefore, I would recommend you meet with this person and tell him that you want to go out on date with him and that you really like him. :)

if you love this man then why would you tell him something important though email. you need to talk to him in person

Bad idea. Do it face to face or not at all. You wont sound desparate with email, you'll sound wimpish.
