Gen.1:3-25 [ Earth in preparation thousands of years, just preparation as it existed, plant life and animal life is very old ]; Earth is very old, plant and animal life is old.

We have only had recorded history for 6000 years. There are too many things before that time (for millions of years) to list them all. Science finds more and more everyday.
