I know when you first read this, you're most likely going to be like, "duuh". But my friend, who is a big believer, says if you do not believe, that you go to hell. She also spoke that there is only one God. That's where i questioned her about the Greek's. They believed in multiple Gods and praid to all of them. The point that i'm getting at is that since they didnt believe in our single God, did they all go to hell. I personally dont believe this to be true. I feel that in a sense that our beliefs as humans have changed sooo many times, it's hard to believe now. So many beliefs have been floating around for centuries, and i find it soo hard to believe that everyone who didnt seem to believe in our single God, that they all went to hell. My feelings say they didnt, because everyone's own God leads them down the road they choose to follow. It's so difficult when there are so many questions.

Man tries it his way and the end is death - man does it God's way and the end is life. There is only one way - not because man says so but because God says so.

Your friend is right. Those that do not believe in Jesus will die and go to hell. There is only one God, and the only way to him is through faith in Jesus Christ, who died on Calvary, was buried, and three days later was raised again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Christ shed is blood for our sins, and as it says in Hebrews without the shedding of blood there can be not forgiveness of sins. The Greek Gods never did die for those who worshiped them. Wide is the road to destruction and many are those that are traveling on that road. Narrow is the road to salvation and few are those that find it. Those that wish to keep their life here will lose it, but those who give up their life here will find it in the world to come when Jesus returns to take us back to heaven, which will be soon. If you believe in Christ he has a home already prepared for you in heaven, but if you don't, then you will go to hell after the Great White Throne Judgement, of which Christ will be the Judge. Also, if your name is not written in the Lamb's book of life, that will be another reason why you will go to hell along with the others that do not believe in Jesus.

I believe in God.
I've always looked at God and religion kind of like the cola wars between Coke and Pepsi. You can't make everybody like Coke, Pepsi or Royal Crown in the same way you can't make everybody believe in God, Zeus or L. Ron Hubbard. I believe that God knows this and thus doesn't care which of his personas you believe in. Otherwise he's a selfish God and I want no part of that. I've toyed with the thought that this may be a test, to see if we humans can overcome these differences and live together peacefully.
We will all find out eventually. In the meantime, don't be afraid to ask yourself these questions and don't be afraid of the answers either.

Hell, hades, and sheol are the common grave of mankind. Acts 2:27,31,32 tell us that Jesus was there for three days. Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us that there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going. There are many more scriptures like that (look in the concordance of your Bible for more under hell, hades, sheol, gehenna, and tartarus). As for there being one God, yes that is true. I believe you are referring to Acts 17:16-34 about the multiple gods. These people were pagan. Some of them followed Paul and changed their ways, others mocked him, and others said that they'd hear about it at another time (verses 32-34). 1 Corinthians 8:4 tells us that there is no other God but one. (There are also many cases of this in the Bible). As for the Trinity, Jesus said that God was his Father and was greater than he was (John 14:28 for example). Jesus was the only-begotten son, which means that he was the first born. God has no beginning. 1 Corinthians 11:3 tells us that God is Christ's head (leader). John 8:42 and 12:49 tell us the Jesus was obedient in heaven and was sent by the Father. Jesus prayed to God, his Father. (If there was a trinity, he basically would have been talking to himself). He was also raised up by God. Triads or a trinity of gods had their start in ancient Babylon. It was added to the Christian religion to help pagans adjust. (Try and find the word trinity in the Bible, it's not there). If you want to know your Bible, talk to Jehovah's Witnesses. They can show you the answers to your questions from the Bible.

properly whats your definition of God? were the Greeks incorrect? Is Christianity incorrect? Are community individuals incorrect? i trust that is as a lot as you to verify what god is like and what's correct for you, i'm neither an atheist, or christian i'm both or a minimum of a blend of both. i trust in a author or as some say a God because how did all of this (the international and all of the different galaxies and so on...) start up? i trust some thing all started it and has enable what is going to happen happen for this reason (mom nature). Your chum can trust what she needs merely tell her to end forcing it on you and if she now no longer ought to be acquaintances then that is time to locate yet another chum. that is extra effective to trust on some aspect than none in any respect!

First of all, No where in the Bible will you ever see or read about “HELL”--- why? Because there is no such thing as HELL. So, what your friend said about not believing in God will lead you to HELL is NOT TRUE. When we die, we go to “sheol” or “hades” which is another word for “hell”---which means “grave.” So, when we die, we go to our GRAVE…..not to fiery furnace under the earth.

Jesus mentioned in the book of Matthew that there are TWO ROADS….ONE road will lead you to everlasting life….the other road to destruction.

The road to everlasting life is cramped and only a few people are finding it. The road to destruction is wide and many are finding it.

What does this mean? The road that is cramped are people who believes in ONE GOD…the God Almighty and making necessary changes to please him no matter how hard that may seem and living by God’s high standards.

The road that is wide is the road where people who believes in many gods (notice the difference in the word “god”—one in CAPS one in lower case)…and are choosing the way they live without considering God’s written instructions, the Bible.

“god” is only a title….. so, yes, it does matter which god you believe in. Do you believe in many gods (the wide road)? Or do you believe in ONE TRUE GOD (the road that is cramped)?

If they didn`t know about God Almighty then how could they be held accountable? Its when you hear about God.Jesus the Savior of mankind that then you become accountable.I know what you are going to say, but think about this :there is something about the name of Jesus that draws your attention, you will listen when he`s talked or preached about because God doesn`t want anyone to be lost. You can hear the names of other Gods of other people and really don`t usually remember a whole lot about it ,but when you here Jesus everyone takes notice. You can either then believe or not believe that is your choice.

If you don't believe in God AND repent of your sins in Jesus name AND have a ongoing relationship with Him, yeah, you're in trouble. It's so easy for people to fall for the lies of Satan but know this, one day the truth would be revealed and on that day, what would you want Jesus to be, your Savior or your Judge? Those are the only two choices.

Plus the Greeks didn't get to go anywhere after they died. Heaven was only for the gods, the immortals, so they were pretty much screwed either way.

Trust me. There is only one God and now the ancient Greeks and Darwin believe without a shadow of a doubt.

Numbers with God don't mean Jack ****.

Do billions go to hell? No, that's far too small a figure.

What is of Christ goes to heaven. Everything else is just carnal...nor more than a rock or a dead salad in your plate or a dead chicken in your soup. It is Christ that puts the value in a person.

Without the Lord, people are NO MORE than salad or a dead chicken. Our loving heavenly father does not let good things be thrown away. If He who is all wisdom throws them away, then, I assure you, the turd you flush down the toilette has more value than they!!

Crude but a lot of truth there. If you can handle it.

Ben, you don't need to worry. Although your friend is right when he says the Christian God is the only God, remember that Jesus knows that those people were deceived. The Bible says that the creation story is written in the stars, and that we all have a God consciousness which only Jesus can fill.

Men will be not only be judged according to their understanding of God, but also their willingness to do the right thing. Those people had not heard of Jehovah, and even Jesus Himself said How shall they believe if they have not yet heard? It is so important to spread the Gospel, so that they need not live in fear but know the saving grace of God, but if we who do not know seek the truth with a sincere heart, God will answer.

The Bible says that God looks upon the heart (of man) and that is how He accepts us.

Please don't worry. God is bigger than any man made problem

Blessings :)

In the midst of all the confusion, you need to examine the different beliefs to find the truth. Take time to check out different faiths and gods, including the God of the Bible.
An former-atheist tried the same thing. He tried to investigate the Bible to show it to be wrong. Put the name Lee Strobel into a search engine and see what you get.
