Faded Red Hair?

I have read all 7 pages of questions on this topic and I am still at a loss. 11 days ago I had my hair professionally dyed, I waited 4 days before washing it and have only used Redken color extend products. And it is still fading!!! Is there a colour rinse or anything to brighten it up until I can get back to the salon?

I know that it fades so quickly but my hair has a natural red tinge to it (dark brown) so I thought (hoped) it would last for 6 maybe even 8 weeks

Colorshine by Sebastian!!!......it is a product that will stain your hair....you apply onto damp hair, wrap your hair/head in a bag, and let it heat up (if you have a professional head dryer great) if not, use a blow dyer on hot.....for twenty minutes and you will have the most incredible vibrancy and it will last alot longer! Plus the bottle of colorshine is quite big, so you have at least 15 applications (the more stained red your hair is....the more likely it is to stay true to color)
A hair rep in a beauty supply store, that sells Colorshine, will direct you to the appropriate red color. If I saw your color, I could tell you exactly which one to get.

Well first off, as hairdressers know, red fades the fastest of any color. Redken products are great.. Redken colors are also outstanding. Depending on if you went lighter or darker is the question? Try going into a darker red next time. There are some color rinses you can buy at Rite Aid or at CVS, or Sallys Beauty Supply called Fanciful.
Or if you decide not to color in a salon again why don't you use Henna.?? HennaLucent can be bought at Sallys and it comes in a great red shade. Its pretty much natural, easy to do, but does stain towels so try not to make a mess. Follow the directions and your hair will feel pretty good.
I have used that product in my salons for years because I have patrons who love it.. and it works! One more idea, and that is you could go buy a color red and use half shampoo and half of the product mixed like the directions say too and soap cap your hair. The ends will grab faster so watch where you put it first.. This will extend the red a bit and brightened it up. Good luck!

There are conditioners you can purchase that have red tint to them. You can use them after every shampoo. Red is a color that is known for fading. Mine is red and I color every 5 to 6 weeks.

If you paid a professional to color your hair and it is fading, you
should go back to the salon and ask their advice. Permanent
hair color should not fade so soon.
