It could be hurting not only from the cold but from the barometric pressure. Here is a little quiz that i did the past few days. I kept a journal on the time of day that I hurt the most and what kind of pain I felt (I have bad pain in back and legs) After this was written down I went to www.NOAA.gov and clicked the link to the two day history which is shown in red underneath the current conditions section. My pain corresponded perfectly with the ups and downs in pressure. (even small variations ex. 29.57 vs. 30.29) In your situation, sometimes headaches are caused by neck problems. Check it out-even if just trivial info, you can predict when you are going to get headaches and prepare accordingly.

Yes! I always get a headache when my head is exposed to cold air. It feels exactly like a brain freeze. Welcome to the club.
