I'm looking for the lightest production 12 gauge over under shotgun. I've seen franchi's and the like have some that are just over 6 lbs. Are there any lighter guns?

Beretta makes an Ultralight series, that weighs in at 5.75 pounds. 686 Onyx comes in under 7 depending on barrel length. The 687 Silver PigeonII is listed at 6.8
- Browning Citoris and Cynergys weigh7.3 and 7.7 pounds respectively.
-Rem. Spartan weighs7.5.
-Charles Daly Field II is listed at 7.2, and also make an ultralight in that model, but don't list the weight. Must be in the sixes somewhere.
-Merkel 303 EL is 7.3

Since you sound pretty small, and don't like recoil get a 20 gauge, the ammo cost the same as a 12 gauge. your looking at 200-300 for either a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 in 20 gauge. The Mossbergs are going to be a little cheaper but i would personally recomend the 870, its a great gun.

Browning Citori is light, EAA Biakal is relatively light (Now being sold as Remington Spartan), But if I had to guess Beretta is probably pretty good choice as much as I hate them.
