In a girl's opinion, ( i assume you are a guy asking this) , being sexy in personality is more important than being sexy physically. Think: even if you look like Brad Pitt but lack the charisma and intelligence to pull through, you just end up lika a dock, a himbo.
However, if you are charming personality-wise even if you look like an odd-ball, girls will still flock to you. Look at Conan O'Brien, he looks weird, but he's a hot one.
Work on your charms. But maintain your looks

Sexy is when a guy turns to his girl and winks and gives a slight touch to the cheek. Open doors. Compliments. Basically a natural, no fake stuff.

Sexy is a guy who is self confident BUT not conceited. He is clean and smells good - his clothes FIT nicely - baggy saggy pants are a real turn off. He is at least 5' 10" tall, not too skinny, and please - no "beer bellies". He is comfortable around women and is NOT dependant on his "buddies". He is not an "addict". He listens and asks questions. He has a good sense of humor and smiles alot.
