How can I "spice up" my sex life? It feels as if my boyfriend and I have become more "brother and sister" instead of "boyfriend and girlfriend"... sometimes I don't even feel like I want to have sex and this was never a problem before! I am on an anti-depressant at a very low dose... any suggestions?

It may be the anti-depressant - a side effect of some anti-depressants (and even a symptom of depression) is a low sex drive. You may want to talk to your doctor. If this isn't the case, perhaps it is the boyfriend...maybe the two of you are growing apart...

Any anti-depressant will tend to have a wide variety of hormonal imbalances. You could have a suppressed sex drive 1 day and a hyper active sexual appetite later on. If this is truly affecting your relationship, let your doctor know and they will probably change the dosage or prescription. Since the whole reason behind that pill is to make you feel better, You need to tell them as soon as you can

Yes, take your boyfriend by the hand and head out to a Love shop and pick up something fun. They have dice that has different positions and stuff on them. Get some toys, or try some of the lotions that have a flavor to them. There are so many things you can do, play dress up and then do a striptease for each other. Good luck and have fun.

Anti-depressants in any dose directly affect your brain and therefore affect all cognitive functioning particularly your sex drive which lessens as a side-effect. Discuss this will him and let him know you're concerned. To "spice" it up..try new things like lotions, gels, toys, videos and positions..sex is limitless. In the meantime express your concerns with your doctor to see if you can change to a new medication and what side effects you may experience.

First, the anti-depressants are affecting your sex drive.
You could sit down and talk about it, or wear something really sexy, not outrageous, for when he comes home. You could try acting out a fantasy that you have.

get off the anti-depressants if you want to have a sex life at all. or try changing anti-depressants. Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant that doesn't have any sexual side effects.

buy porn movies, and maybe you'll both start watching them. It will probably wake up the passion, Don't pressure yourself, just wait for the right time to do it,relax you are probably under a lot of stress right now. Good luck!!
