YOU'RE ASKING THE WRONG CROWD. YOU HAVE TO INQUIRE FROM YOUR DOCTOR IF THE PHYSICAL STRESS CAN PREVENT YOU FROM PASSING THE PHYSICAL.
THERE IS AN AWFUL LOT OF STRESS IN BOOT CAMP AND IN COMBAT, CAN YOUR HEART TAKE IT?

I doubt it. It's not that strenous exercise is bad for mitral valve prolapse, it's that mitral valve prolapse is bad for strenuous exercise. You don't have the normal blood volume that most people have and you will get winded and tired far more quickly. Simply put...you probably just won't have the stamina to withstand the activity level.

Only a Doctor and your Doctor should answer this question. But my two cents would be that most of those Prolapse's are only small annoyances and should not be a reason for rejection.

No, and your doctor should have told you that entering any of "the services", and doing the strenuous activites in boot camp, would be too hard on the heart.

I think as long as you are under 80 and strong enough to lift a rifle you can join.
