Just out of curiosity, how much older are you talking? An older woman who is twenty five or forty six?
Either way, being older doesn't guarantee maturity anymore than being younger seems to have hindered your maturity. Right?

When I was your age I liked a few girls who were older than me. I'm 35 now and I only date girls that are under 25. Make sure you know what you are doing. It would be sad if you married an older woman and after a few years leave her for a younger smoother skinned girl.

As an older woman, I see nothing wrong with age. If you can handle the relationship, i.e. financially, as well as maturly then go for it. Bars, I dont think a decent relationship can be formed but its a start. Just be careful, of your heart. Dont let one break it cuz she used you. Move slow.
