The "big bang theory" doesn't claim to be the beginning of all matter. It is merely the most accepted explanation of how, that which we can observe, all came about.
Nobody has yet offered to explain the energy behind the big bang, or where that energy came from.
However, that is certainly not a reason to believe in the childish explanation presented in the Bible.

That is very true. The Big Bang theory is just an admission that a VERY powerful force created the universe - but we know this also had to be an intelligent, organised, focussed being, or else there would be random errors in such things as reproduction, time, life experiences, etc. Also every culture on earth, whether evangelised, educated, civilised, primevil or whatever, feels the need to worship and will do so without the need for conversion from outside.
It's interesting really. The more we study to disprove God, the more we have to admit there is one.

Actually according to Inflation theory mass/energy formed after the big bang event.
I don't think anything was "created". The big bang event is a beginning in the same sense as the north pole is the beginning longitude lines, or absolute zero is the beginning of the temperature scale, or zero is the beginning of the natural numbers. Just as you wouldn't claim these are creation events neither would I claim the big bang is a creation event. It is just a special point in space/time that is all.
Relativity indicates to us that one can look at nature as eternal changeless space/time not space changing temporally.

Of course! The first cause that caused it all!
In pagan mythology there is an ancient story that supports the big bang. Most pagans believe that there are male and female aspects to divinity. In other words a God and Goddess....heavenly parents (instead of that angry single dad thing). Any ways, the God and Goddess joined and created their own "big bang".....and from their union the universe exploded into existence. Funny how those pagans got it pretty close to the truth thousands and thousands of years before the OT was written.

Some scientist's have decided that the bang was not caused by an explosion but a light so bright & moves so quickly that it forces today the continual expansion of the universe. These are not christian scientists either.

Smart man! How can you have something from nothing? Particles came together and exploded starting everything?? Well that can't be true, since obviously things stated BEFORE the bang evidenced by the particles very existance prior to the bang.
The fact that scientist have a theory that can be pulled apart by a child just says how brain-dead our iPod generation is today. It's a shame.

The Bible in no way contradicts the so called Big Bang Theory. In the Book of Genesis it states that God said "Let there be light; and there was light." This implies an instantanious illumination, quite possibly explosive even.

The scientists that believe in the big bang theory, cannot explain why it happened, and they themselves put it down to an act of God!
