You have previously stated that you are 13, and think about killing yourself. You should not be allowed anywhere near a gun, and you are not old enough to buy one.

you did not specify whether you wanted a rifle, shotgun, or pistol, so I will explain all you need to know for any gun. Rifles and shotguns are the easiest to buy as you can get them just about anywhere (any sporting goods store.. even Wal-mart) Pistols must be purchased in the state you live in. You must be 18 years old to buy a rifle or shotgun and 21 years old to purchase a pistol. When you pick out the gun you want, you will fill out a questionnaire with your name, address, date of birth and will be asked if you've been charged or convicted of certain offenses. Felonies and domestic violence convictions will make it illegal for you to purchase a firearm. The dealer will then call the FBI with your information. The FBI will call the dealer back (usually within a few minutes) and let him know whether or not he can sell you the gun. The FBI checks your criminal history report before they call back with authorization. Some states may require a waiting period before you can pick up the gun, this is usually only on pistols. You can also buy guns at gun shows and avoid the paperwork and FBI check. The same applies if you were to buy a gun from a private individual. You can search your local classified adds to see what guns people have for sale. There is no paperwork involved in buying this way and it is totally legal as long as you are not a felon (or have been convicted of domestic violence) and are of the legal age, If you are not experienced with firearms, you should start out with a small caliber rifle, such as a .22 caliber and practice a lot. Also, you should take a gun safety class and study how guns work. Each gun is different. One gun may not fire with the magazine out, another one will. Knowing these things are extremely important. I've seen people fire guns they thought were unloaded simply because the magazine was not in the gun. Pistols are definitely not for beginners as they are much more difficult to shoot accurately. Practice Practice Practice with your rifle first, then consider buying a pistol. Also learn how to safely store firearms. If there are children in the house, you will need to not simply hide the gun from them, but teach them how guns work and what they are capable of. Kids that have a profound respect for guns are much less likely to kill themselves out of curiosity. Owning a gun is a big responsibility. It's not something that should be taken lightly. Good luck and Be SAFE!

First of all, to find a gun store, look in the yellow pages of your phone book. If you don't have a phone book, then ask someone. after you find a gun store, go in, pick out your gun, fill out the paperwork, they will run a background check, and if you pass, you get your gun. Also, you have to be at least 18 to buy a rifle or shotgun, and at least 21 to buy a handgun.

Look in the phone book and find a gun store. Call them and get directions to the store. Take identification with you and but a gun, some bullets, and hearing protection.
Use empty milk cartons for targets, and aim at the missing kid's face.

Depending on the state you live in, you can buy guns and other light weaponry from gun dealers or from gun shows. It has been documented that getting guns from gun shows is usually a lot easier than from a regular gun store.

Once you choose the gun and pay for it, you'll be required to fill out some registration forms and be placed on a waiting list. The time on the waiting list would depend on your state, but is usually 48 hours. This is usually waived in gun shows.

Depending on your state, you will be required to provide proof of child proof locks, some safety courses, and of course, no felony charges.

The easiest way to find out is to contact any gun store and ask.

Go to a gun store and pay. They will ask for all kind of information that you need to provide and the gun is yours.
