My hair is the same and I also straighten it. It's limp and thin and without products and styling is yuck.

I have never believed in 'volumising' products until I tried Loreal Volumeactive. It's quite expensive but it really really works. Even just the shampoo and conditioner leave it with more body but if you also use the mouse (or there is a spray too but I like the mouse better I think) it really is great volume. Also because your hair is thin and products weight it down and make it feel disgusting, this stuff doesn't.

I'd get some of this, blowdry your hair out of the shower and you'll have to do minimal straightening in the morning.

Don't straighten your hair. Just let it air dry on your pillow. In the morning throw some mousse on it and a little hair spray. You'll have tons of volume.

Well.. you say you straighten your hair... Straighteners flatten hair, thats just how it is. But if you want volume, like the others said, you have to blow-dry it with a brush. Or, if you wake up in the morning and after you straighten it, Flip your hair upside down and fluff it a little bit with a blow dryer

Blow Dry your hair directly after you get out of the shower. Dry all excess water out of your hair so your hair isnt dripping wet or anything. Then blow dry it with a round brush curling the insides in OR out....whatever it dosent matter! Good Luck! Hope I Helped =)

Instead of letting it air-dry, blow dry your hair with your back bending down. I read mousse is good to volumize hair so try it?

I really hope this helped and if it didn't then I'm sorry!

practice 2-3 palmfuls of mousse around the roots of your hair (this artwork maximum acceptable in case you position it in gently dampened hair, no longer moist from out of the bathe), then turn your hair the different way up and blowdry the roots out. The mousse in conujunction with the nice and comfortable temperature from the blowdryer can help you raise up your roots, supplying you with volume. For straightening hair: once you straighten the roots of your hair, you want to tug the iron up, then down. in case you pull instantly down from the basis to the end, this very almost KILLS volume, because it flattens out the basis. by technique of pulling upwards, then down, you get instantly hair with somewhat root raise. For extra further volume, attempt getting a root lifting spray, and seize sections of hair around the crown and spray the basis lifter, then comb it in upwards and it would go away your roots lifted. you may attempt teasing with hairspray too, yet this can provide a extra unnatural volumized seem. Curls/waves: Curls and waves are a thanks to operate volume on your hair. For voluminous hair, merely seize a a million a million/4 inch curling iron and curl a million inch and a pair of inch products of hair for an basic, wavy/curly seem that you may placed on on a daily basis. strong success!

Unless people ridicule you about your hair, you should'nt worry. My hair is too short and thick and fat. It looks ugly when I wear it out or when I have it in a low ponytail. So I always have to wear it in a high ponytail.
